Editorial policy

Sources

Every guide ends with a numbered list of its sources, each linked and dated; every number, rule and attribution in the text comes from one of them. Protocol rules, fees, reserves, limits and transaction fields come from the XRP Ledger documentation (xrpl.org), the rippled source code and the XLS standards in the XRPLF repositories on GitHub. Wallet behaviour comes from the wallet's own documentation or repository. Exchange rates, market data, rankings and price commentary are outside this site's scope and are never used. Forums, social posts and anonymous blogs are never a source for a fact.

How sources are linked

Each source link goes to the specific documentation page, repository file or standard it names, not to a site's front page. Where a guide cites code, the link points to the file in the XRPLF repository, such as the consensus notes in rippled. A number in the text carries a marker that matches one numbered source, so a reader can open that page and find the sentence. Some pages also quote a public server read on a stated date; that date is given beside the claim.

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions belong to the editors alone. The site takes no money from, and does not send drafts to, any company or foundation that builds or sells XRP Ledger products, Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation included, and it names no one as an endorser. When a source comes from such a company, the guide treats it as a source like any other and prefers the documentation or code where they differ.

Checking

Before a guide is published, every sentence that states a fact is read against the passage it comes from. If the source does not say it, the sentence goes. A fact that a later reader shows to be wrong is corrected on the page and logged. The date at the top of each guide is the last time it was checked; each source in the list shows the day it was read.

What changes

Amendments change fees, reserves and behaviour. A figure on these pages is what the source said on the date shown; where a figure depends on a server version or an amendment, the guide names it. Check the source before you build on a number.

Not advice

These guides explain how a ledger works. They are not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and nothing here says that any asset will rise or fall in value or that anyone should buy or sell it. Keep your own backups and verify addresses before sending anything.

Money

The site carries no advertising and no affiliate links. No wallet, exchange or service pays to be mentioned.

Corrections

Errors are fixed and logged on the corrections page. To report one, email editors@ripplesxrpl.com or use the contact page, with the page address and the source that shows the right fact.
